What is Tuna?

Another important characteristic is that the tuna must be in constant movement so as not to sink, due to the weight of its body, and to the very small swim bladder to allow it to stay afloat.

What is the Bonito?

Also called Sarda Sarda, it is a saltwater fish. Bonito is sometimes called albacore tuna; in fact, it looks so much like a fish from the Thunnus family, that many classify it as one of them. However, these two types of fish have their differences as we will see later.

Qualities of the beautiful

The bonito contains between 7 and 10 longitudinal bands on the back. On the other hand, its body is elongated and hydrodynamically shaped. This shape allows your body to resist water during movement.

As for the color, the bonito is silvery blue, and on the belly it has certain iridescent reflections. It should be noted that the tuna generally measures between 30-50 cm, and weighs 6-12 kg; however, these can measure up to 90cm and weigh up to 30 kilograms. The bonito is a carnivorous fish that feeds on pelagic fish, these are those that live in waters close to the surface.

It is important that this fish is fished in the eastern Pacific Ocean, the tropical Atlantic, in the Mediterranean and on the Australian coast.
